Jewelers Suite JHJ Magazine Members In The News

JHJ Rock Star: Gaurav Love Verma

I grew up in a retail jewelry store, and essentially lived in the shop as a kid because both parents were always working. The retail business was going under and my brother Amit and I opened up Cash for Gold stores during the Gold Rush in the 2000s and at our peak had 35 stores spanning NY, GA, MD, NJ, FL and TX. We have been featured on CNN, NY Post, Times Herald, Newsday and more.

Along with managing the stores, I was in medical school and graduated in 2012. Once completed, I decided I wanted to pursue the jewelry industry full time.

Our “cash 4 gold” stores is where my interest in antique pieces was sparked. I’ve always admired how beautiful and intricate the designs were and the beauty of the old mine cut and old European. I would say that the first time I ever saw an old miner, I was hooked.

Fast forward to today! We are one of the nation’s largest retailers of antique & vintage bridal jewelry. We have an extensive collection of old cut diamonds and are always actively buying more to satiate the demand.

In my free time I love to play basketball, exercise, and spend time with my family.

My favorite charity is St Jude’s.

My favorite aspect of JHJ is seeing members utilize the different areas of expertise that is available to grow and thrive in their businesses. It a symbiotic community which really has energized thousands of independent jewelers. In addition to this, it’s amazing how many friendships have been forged along the way. I reach out to members often to learn and get advice regularly and always answer the call when a member needs help from myself as well.

JHJ members can reach out to me with any questions about Vintage & Antique Jewelry. We are always willing to help with general questions, values, and anything to do with old cut diamonds.
